DD's Configuration is divided into three sections:
Defaults
Display Attributes
Extension Colors
Each section is discussed in detail below.
The first time you run DD /CFG, if you choose to save your changes, 'DD.CFG'
will be created in the CURRENT directory. You must then move this file to a
directory that is listed in the PATH statement of your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
This is so DD will always be able to find its configuration file. From then
on, DD /CFG will search out and update your existing DD.CFG.

This will let you configure the colors for the Border, File Size, File Time,
File Date, Normal Text, Highlighted Text, and Pause Message. You can change
the Border Type and turn the "T" Connectors on and off. You can also change the
format of DD's output, such as file names in upper or lower case, file sizes in
bytes or kbytes, commas in file sizes, date format, & time format. The window
at the top of the screen shows you a sample of how the current attributes would
look.

This is where you can set up what color each type of file will be displayed
in. You can specify up to 36 different extensions/colors. To edit an entry,
move the cursor to it (using the arrow keys) and press <ENTER>. You'll then
be prompted for a File Extension. If there is already an extension there, and
you don't wish to change it, press <ENTER>. You will then be asked to select
a color for that type of file. <U> Toggles The 'User Chosen Extension' for
the currently highlighted extension, <ALT-U> Sets All Extensions As User
Chosen, and <CTRL-U> Sets All Extensions As NOT User Chosen. 'Chosen'
extensions will have a check mark beside them.
If you want to clear an extension, move the cursor to it and press <C>.
Pressing <D> will allow you to change the Default File Name Color, <S> will
allow you to set the color that Sub-Directories are displayed in, <H> sets
the color that Hidden Files are displayed in, and <V> sets the color VolumeID
Files are displayed in.
